US lawmakers "wait" to see TPP text live
On November 4, US media reported that US lawmakers are "waiting" to see the text of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement directly.
However, many lawmakers from both the Democratic and Republican parties have expressed skepticism about the possibility of the TPP being passed by the US Congress next year.
When asked about the prospect of TPP being passed by the US Congress, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley frankly said that "it will be very difficult, not impossible to pass, but it will be very difficult."

Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell agreed, saying: "Next year is an election year, and in an election year, it's hard to do anything that has a big outcome."
Meanwhile, Democratic Senator Ben Cardin is among the lawmakers who have not yet made up their minds until they read the text of the TPP.
“Of course, we have to look at the text of the agreement to see what it includes,” he explained. “The union’s reaction is against the TPP, while the business community supports it.”
Republican Sen. Joni Ernst is optimistic about the benefits of the TPP for farmers in her home state.
“We export a lot of agricultural products in general, so the TPP is a good thing for Iowa,” Ernst said.
But even the Senator herself has not committed to voting for the TPP until she has studied the text of the agreement.
TPP reached a final agreement among 12 negotiating member countries on October 5, including 4 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN): Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei.
TPP will affect nearly 40% of the world's economic output and 26% of global goods trade from member countries./.
