Concluding the Conference, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that after reviewing the Politburo's Proposal, the Central Executive Committee gave its opinions on personnel so that the Politburo could decide to introduce the National Assembly to elect the position of State Auditor General and approve the positions of Minister of Health and Minister of Transport at the 4th session of the 15th National Assembly.
At the same time, a new point at this Conference is that for the first time, the Central Executive Committee has considered and decided to let cadres under the Central Committee's management cease to participate in the 13th Party Central Executive Committee according to the Politburo's policy in Regulation No. 41-QD/TW, dated November 3, 2021 on dismissal and resignation of cadres and Notice No. 20-TB/TW, dated September 8, 2022 on job arrangement for cadres after being disciplined, for Central Party Committee members Nguyen Thanh Phong, Huynh Tan Viet, and Bui Nhat Quang.
The Central Executive Committee also considered the Politburo's Proposal and decided to discipline Comrade Pham Xuan Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hai Duong province by expelling him from the Party due to serious violations of the principle of democratic centralism, of what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example for the head of the Party Committee, causing very serious consequences, causing great damage to property, the State budget, causing bad public opinion, reducing the prestige of the Party, local government and the comrade himself.
"This is a very painful incident, but because of the strictness of Party discipline, to educate, prevent, warn, and deter other cases, and because of the growth of the Party, we are forced to do it. This is also a valuable lesson that each of us comrades needs to learn from truly profound experiences; from there, we must be even more exemplary, even more exemplary in cultivating and training revolutionary qualities and ethics, and must truly be exemplary models for cadres, Party members, and people to trust and follow," General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized./.
