Tornado occurred in Nghia Dan (Nghe An)

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 2, Mr. Truong Cong Thuyen - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Long Commune, Nghia Dan District confirmed: At about 5:50 p.m. on the afternoon of August 1, heavy rain accompanied by a tornado occurred in the commune, blowing off the roofs of several houses and breaking many trees.

Trees fell due to storms on Ho Chi Minh road through Nghia Long (Nghia Dan).

"The heavy rain accompanied by a tornado that occurred in a short period of time and moved in a localized direction caused some electric poles to fall and a transformer station to lose power. Many houses with fibro-cement roofs had their roofs blown off, and trees were broken... Property damage cannot be estimated yet, fortunately no one was injured," said Mr. Thuyen.

It is known that after the tornado passed, many trees fell across Ho Chi Minh road through Nghia Long commune, causing traffic on this road to be obstructed for a short time.
