A man died after being hit by a falling tree branch in the rain.
On July 20, officials of Vinh Loc ward, Nghe An province said that an old man died in the ward after being hit by a broken tree branch.

The victim was identified as Mr. Vuong Thanh L. (born in 1966), residing in Thai Binh hamlet, Nghi Thai commune (old), now Vinh Loc ward.
According to information from Vinh Loc ward officials, on the evening of July 19, there was heavy rain and strong winds in the area. Mr. L. came home late from work in the field and encountered strong winds. He went out and ran to the place where the cows were tied (about 100m from his house) at the base of a royal poinciana tree to bring the cows into the barn, when suddenly a royal poinciana branch broke and fell on him.
After being discovered by his family and informed by Thai Binh hamlet officials, they came to support the family in performing first aid and calling an ambulance to take him to the emergency room, but the doctor determined that Mr. L. had died before.
After knowing the information, representatives of Vinh Loc ward came to visit, pay their respects and offer condolences to the family.
