Google reduces minimum selling price of Android apps in Vietnam
Android app developers in Vietnam can reduce the selling price of their apps to 6,000 VND - according to Google's new policy.

Currently, according to Google’s policy, Android apps must cost at least $0.99. However, it seems that the search engine company has realized that in many countries, that number is still expensive. In an effort to make paid apps more accessible to users, Google recently announced that it would reduce the minimum price for apps on the Play Store in 17 countries, including Vietnam. This decision was made after the company tested (and achieved much success) in India in early 2015.
The discount will vary from country to country, and in Vietnam, users will have the opportunity to buy Android apps for only VND6,000. It can be said that this is a good policy for both users and developers. Price is one of the main obstacles that makes Vietnamese users not interested in paid apps, and Google's new policy will help to remove some of that barrier. For developers, being allowed to lower prices will clearly help their products reach more customers than before.
If you're an Android developer and want to discount your app, you can adjust the price in the "Pricing & Distribution" or "In-app Products" section of the Google Play Developer Console.
