Previously, Bim Son Town Police received a report from Mr. NTA (residing in Bac Son Ward, Nghi Son Town), who sells clothes online, about a person using the Facebook account "Thanh Ngo Kim" asking him to buy clothes.

After agreeing on the price and quantity to buy, this stranger sent Mr. A. a link and asked him to log in to that link to receive the deposit to buy the goods.

Trusting, A. clicked on the link and entered his bank account number, password and transaction OTP code into the link sent by the subject. Immediately after, Mr. NTA discovered that his bank account had "evaporated" nearly 400 million VND.

On July 5, Bim Son Town Police, Thanh Hoa Province, announced that they had just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Le Phu Quoc (born 2001; residing in Tan Lap Commune, Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province) for the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
