Netherlands announces final conclusions on MH17 plane crash

(Baonghean.vn) - On Tuesday, October 13, 15 months after the MH17 plane crash in eastern Ukraine that killed 298 people, Dutch investigators announced their final conclusions.

According to the investigation results, Dutch experts concluded that Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down by a BUK missile of Russian origin.

It is known that on July 17, 2014, while flying over the airspace of eastern Ukraine, flight MH17 carrying 298 passengers from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down. After the incident, both the Ukrainian army and the separatists blamed each other.

Accordingly, the Ukrainian and American governments both claimed that the MH17 plane was shot down by separatists using a BUK missile supplied by Russia when they mistook the civilian plane for a Ukrainian fighter jet. On the Russian side, the Moscow government immediately denied the accusations. The incident has exacerbated the tensions that already existed between Russia and Western countries.
