Hanoi will dismiss 3 Vice Chairmen of the City

The Hanoi People's Council is planning to hold an extraordinary meeting to complete a number of leadership positions in the People's Council and the City People's Committee. The extraordinary meeting is expected to take place this March.

According to the content being planned by the City People's Council, at the meeting, a Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, 3 Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee, and a standing member of the City People's Council will be dismissed.

At the same time, the City People's Council delegates will elect an additional Vice Chairman of the City People's Council and 3 Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee.

Currently, the leadership of the City People's Council includes Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Van Hoat, and standing member Nguyen Van Nam (Mr. Nam was recently appointed Secretary of the Hai Ba Trung District Party Committee).

Hanoi People's Committee currently has 6 Vice Chairmen including Mr. Vu Hong Khanh (Standing Vice Chairman), Le Hong Son, Nguyen Van Suu, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Nguyen Quoc Hung and Tran Xuan Viet.

According to the draft decree regulating the number of Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee and the process and procedures for electing, dismissing, removing, transferring, and removing members of the People's Committees at all levels, which was put out for comments by the Government at the end of 2015, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will have 5 Vice Chairmen of the People's Committees.
