Two police officers were injured while arresting a man carrying 10 heroin cakes.

In the process of controlling a drug transporter, two soldiers of Dien Bien Provincial Police were injured.

At around 1:00 p.m. on September 1, in the Na Hom village area, Muong Nha commune, Dien Bien district, the working group of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Dien Bien Provincial Police ambushed and caught Thao A Chua (born in 1994), residing in Phi Cao village, Phinh Giang commune, Dien Bien Dong district, in the act of illegally buying and selling drugs.

Upon discovering the police force, Thao A Chua used his weapon to fight back fiercely in an attempt to escape. During the process of restraining the subject, 2 soldiers were injured.

Police seized 10 heroin cakes, motorbikes and many other evidences related to Thao A Chua's crimes.

Initially, Chua confessed that he bought the drugs at the Vietnam-Laos border area, intending to transport them to Dien Bien province for consumption. The case is under further investigation.
