South Korea arrests North Korean defector
A North Korean defector was arrested on charges of spying and passing secret information about the South Korean military to a foreign agent, Yonhap news agency reported, citing the Seoul prosecutor's office.

A suspect surnamed Lee was charged with violating the law on protecting military secrets, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office said.
According to the Prosecutors' Office, Mr. Lee is accused of receiving confidential information from former officers of the Korea Defense Intelligence Command (KDIC) and selling it to representatives of the foreign ministry of one of the East Asian countries.
Prosecutors said 109 pieces of military information were leaked, including personal data of South Korean spies operating in various countries. After discovering the leak, they immediately returned to South Korea.
