The Korean Broadcasting and Television Station reported on November 28 that the Korean Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Communications plans to test-launch the Nuri rocket on the afternoon of November 28 at the Naro Space Center (Goheung District, South Jeolla Province).
Nuri is a three-stage rocket developed entirely with domestic technology. The Korea Aerospace Research Institute said that if the engine's fuel burn time reaches more than 140 seconds during the test launch, it means the launch was successful. The test rocket is expected to reach the target altitude of 200km within five minutes, then fall into international waters between Jeju Island and Okinawa Island in Japan.

If the test launch is successful, South Korea will be able to accelerate the development of the Nuri rocket, which is equipped with four 75-ton engines, with a thrust of 300 tons. This rocket is expected to be used as a booster to put a 1.5-ton application satellite into orbit in 2021./.
