Smelling something burning, the male driver quickly pulled the bus over. Dozens of passengers panicked and rushed out the doors as the bus began to burst into flames.

The fire broke out at around 10:30 this morning on Truong Chinh Street, Tay Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District (HCMC).

At the above time, the bus running route 66 Cho Lon Bus Station - An Suong Bus Station with license plate 53N-6941, driven by driver Nguyen Van Tinh, was running on Truong Chinh Street from An Suong bus station to Cong Hoa.

When approaching the intersection of Truong Chinh and Pham Van Bach, driver Tinh smelled a burning smell. Immediately, the male driver quickly pulled the car to the side of the road. Dozens of passengers rushed out of the car when the fire started to break out.

Many people living nearby quickly brought many fire extinguishers to help.

Tan Phu District Fire Police received the report and mobilized 2 fire trucks and many soldiers to control the fire.

At the scene, the bus's hood was charred and severely damaged, but fortunately there were no casualties. In addition, the scene of the fire caused local traffic congestion on Truong Chinh Street.

Initially, the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit. The incident is currently being investigated by the authorities.
