Thousands of foreign cigarette packs washed ashore in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Thousands of foreign branded cigarette packs washed up on the shores of communes in Nghi Loc district, stretching about 2km. Many people picked up many packs that were not soaked in water and brought them home.
On the morning of September 26, many people in Nghi Thiet commune (Nghi Loc district) went to the beach and discovered a series of black cigarette packs drifting ashore. According to the people, all the cigarette packs had foreign brands.

"Thousands of cigarette packs were mixed in the trash, stretching about 2 km from Nghi Thiet commune to Nghi Tien commune. Many packs of cigarettes still had 10 packs intact. They only appeared today," said a local resident. After hearing the news, many local people went out to see and salvaged quite a few packs of cigarettes that had not been soaked in water.

Mr. Bui Van Thanh - Chairman of Nghi Thiet Commune People's Committee said that the commune had received the information and had sent people to check. "The packages of medicine looked very strange. It is unclear which country they came from," Mr. Thanh said.
Similarly, the leader of Nghi Tien Commune People's Committee also said that the people of this commune also discovered many packs of cigarettes of the same type drifting to the commune's beach. The commune has directed people to check and clean up to handle the foreign cigarettes.
