Thousands of Nghe An residents affected by the Covid-19 epidemic receive subsidies
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 9, a number of localities organized money disbursement to support meritorious people and people facing difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, contributing to ensuring social security in the area.
*People's Committee of Yen Thanh districthas directed sectors and localities to review eligible beneficiaries and implement Resolution No. 42 of the Government on implementing a number of measures to support people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic; Decision No. 15 of the Prime Minister regulating the implementation of policies to support people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the first phase, Yen Thanh district organized payment to 5,557 beneficiaries who had contributed to the revolution, with a total support amount of over 8 billion VND. The district People's Committee directed communes, wards, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations to participate in supervising the payment, ensuring the right beneficiaries, publicity, transparency, and not taking advantage of or profiting from the policy.

It is known that the whole district of Quynh Luu has 3,919 meritorious people, 9,172 social protection beneficiaries, 18,533 poor and near-poor households receiving support in the first and second phases with a total amount of over 33.4 billion VND. Of which, meritorious people and social protection beneficiaries will receive support of 500 thousand VND/person/month, poor and near-poor households will receive support of 250 thousand VND/person/month, the support period is 3 months from April to June.
Quynh Luu district has divided into many groups to directly supervise payment points of communes and towns, to ensure fairness, democracy and promptly resolve problems of subjects during the payment process.
