Hundreds of people flock to Hong Son Temple to offer incense to commemorate their ancestors.
(Baonghean.vn) - Many people were present from early morning at the only temple in Vinh City (Nghe An) worshiping Hung Kings to offer incense and remember their roots.
On the morning of April 25 (March 10 of the lunar calendar), hundreds of people flocked to the National Historical and Cultural Relic of Hong Son Temple (Hong Son Ward, Vinh City) to offer incense and flowers. For those who do not have the means to go to Hung Temple in Phu Tho, this is the only place in Vinh City to remember their roots.

The Hung King's death anniversary ceremony at Hong Son Temple organized by Vinh City People's Committee was attended by comrades: Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee; Ho Mau Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Nghe An Department of Culture & Sports.

Hong Son Temple, formerly known as Vo Mieu, is located on land near Vinh market in Hong Son ward, Vinh city, Nghe An province. It is a historical and cultural relic that was ranked at the national level in 1984. The temple grounds are 6,250m2 wide.2, including the upper and middle halls built in 1831 - 1837; the lower halls, left and right wings, triple gate, flower columns and crescent lake built in 1910.

To this day, Hong Son Temple still preserves the tablets of 18 Hung Kings in the central palace. This temple has three major festivals every year: Hung King's death anniversary (10th of the 3rd lunar month), Hung Dao Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan's death anniversary (20th of the 8th lunar month) and Holy Mother Lieu Hanh's death anniversary (03rd of the 3rd lunar month)./.
