Hundreds of gifts come to flood-hit areas of Thanh Chuong and Yen Thanh
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 3, many gifts were given to people in flood-affected areas of Thanh Chuong and Yen Thanh.
* On November 3, the charity group of Truc Lam Ham Rong Zen Monastery (Thanh Hoa) coordinated with Truc Lam Yen Thanh Zen Monastery (Nghe An) to visit and give 200 gifts to people in the flooded area of Thanh Chuong.
200 gifts were given to people in the three communes of Thanh Khai, Thanh Duong and Xuan Tuong who suffered damage in the recent floods. Each gift included: 10 kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles, supplements and 400,000 VND in cash.

On behalf of the local government, Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Chuong district thanked the delegation and hoped to receive more attention from Venerable monks and nuns and Buddhists to the local people. These meaningful gifts partly shared the difficulties and losses, helping people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after the damage caused by floods./.

* Also, officials and people of Ninh Hiep commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi visited, encouraged and supported with gifts worth 150 million VND to people in the highland communes of Yen Thanh district affected by the circulation of storm No. 6.

The delegation visited and directly presented support gifts including 13 tons of rice, 745 boxes of instant noodles, 2,920 notebooks, 900 pens, and 300 pieces of clothes to people in Hung Thanh, Quang Thanh, and Tay Thanh communes.
In addition, the delegation gave gifts to 12 extremely poor households in Hung Thanh commune (each household received a gift of 500,000 VND in cash).
This is the amount of money received from the contributions and support of the officials and people of Ninh Hiep commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi, showing mutual love and sharing to help people affected by storms and floods overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives./.
