"Most violations originate from personnel work"

On the morning of May 25, in Cua Lo town, the Central Inspection Committee coordinated with the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to organize a workshop "Gathering opinions on the draft amendments and supplements to the regulations on the inspection and supervision regime of cadre work of the 10th Politburo".

Attending the workshop were comrade To Quang Thu - Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; representatives of leaders of a number of districts, cities and towns in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission To Quang Thu affirmed: The regulations and regime for inspection and supervision of cadre work issued by the 10th Politburo, after 10 years of implementing Regulation 58, have promoted the role of Party committees in leading and directing the implementation of cadre work, contributing to maintaining Party discipline and order, and building an increasingly clean and strong contingent of cadres and party members.

However, up to now, the Regulation has revealed a number of limitations and shortcomings. Through the results of inspections when there are signs of violations by the Central Inspection Committee and Inspection Committees at all levels in recent times, it can be seen that most of the violations originate from the work of cadres, the work of inspection and supervision of cadre work is still weak and does not meet the requirements. Therefore, amending and supplementing Regulation 58 is very necessary.

In his welcome speech at the Workshop, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son affirmed: Implementing the regulations on inspection and supervision of cadre work, Party organizations and inspection committees at all levels in the Provincial Party Committee have seriously implemented them, considering this an important task in Party building work.

Inspection and supervision aim to promptly correct, rectify, prevent and stop violations of Party organizations; at the same time contribute to improving leadership capacity, fighting strength, maintaining strict discipline, ensuring solidarity and unity within the entire Party.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the organization of the Workshop is even more meaningful in the current period to improve the quality of cadres and party members, and to streamline the apparatus in a streamlined and effective manner. This is an opportunity for Nghe An to have the opportunity to conduct more in-depth research and discuss more specifically about the work of inspecting and supervising cadre work to better understand, grasp and implement the new Regulations in the coming time.

At the conference, delegates pointed out that the content of Regulation 58 is still incomplete, some provisions are not specific, unclear, difficult to apply or outdated compared to the current inspection, supervision and practical activities of Party organizations. Therefore, the implementation process and specific application of the contents still have shortcomings.

From there, delegates contributed ideas to clarify issues that need to be supplemented and amended in Regulation 58-QD/TW on inspection, supervision, and personnel work in accordance with current practices.

Concluding the workshop, comrade To Quang Thu highly appreciated the enthusiastic and intellectual contributions, carefully researched documents, containing rich and profound practical experiences, and many feasible proposals.

In particular, the delegates proposed and recommended the need to soon advise the Politburo on new regulations on inspection and supervision of personnel work.

According to the Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, along with completing documents, the most important step is to effectively apply documents and regulations on inspection and supervision of personnel work into practice.

Along with inspection work, Party committees at all levels need to do a good job of evaluating cadres; promote the role of Party committees in strictly controlling the power of cadres, including the Inspection agency.
