SLNA defender Nguyen Van Duc officially plays for the First Division team

(Baonghean.vn) - After a period of "knocking on the doors" of football teams in the V.League and the National First Division, the player born in 1993 has finally found a new destination. That is Tay Ninh Club.

Nguyen Van Duc is a player who grew up in the SLNA training center, in the same generation as Pham Manh Hung, Que Ngoc Hai, and Nguyen Sy Nam.

In the past, the defender from Hung Nguyen (Nghe An) played for U17 SLNA, the team that won the National U17 Finals in 2009. Notably, in 2012, Nguyen Van Duc was also called up to the U19 Vietnam team.

Entering the 2014 season, Nguyen Van Duc was promoted by coach Nguyen Huu Thang to play in the SLNA first team. However, the number of times Nguyen Van Duc was able to put on his boots was extremely modest (2 times). Faced with such a situation, at the beginning of the 2015 season, the defender from Hung Nguyen decided to leave Vinh Stadium to join Hai Phong Club, in order to seek opportunities to develop his career.

Unfortunately at Lach Tray Stadium, Nguyen Van Duc still faces many difficulties in competing for a starting position with his teammates in the right-back and left-back positions. In V.League 2019, the former SLNA player had 10 appearances for the Port City team, equivalent to 803 minutes. This is the season Nguyen Van Duc has the most playing time in the V.League arena.

Wearing the Tay Ninh Club shirt, Nguyen Van Duc will be playing alongside his compatriot, former Vietnam National Team center back Truong Dinh Luat. Currently, "bearded" Luat is holding the role of captain and assistant coach of the Southeast team./.
