(Baonghean.vn) - At the regular meeting in October, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Council said that it plans to consider 34 reports and 38 draft resolutions at the Provincial People's Council meeting at the end of 2020.

On the morning of October 27, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a regular October meeting to discuss the expected content and agenda of the 16th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021.
Review of 38 draft resolutions

At the working session, in addition to basically agreeing with the expected content and agenda of the session, some members participating in the session also raised concerns about the development of some resolutions that are currently implementing step 1 (approving the draft resolution outline) and according to regulations, after completing step 2 (approving the draft resolution), it must be publicly posted on the electronic information portal 30 days before the session date, while there is not much time left from now until the session date, which will affect the quality of the draft resolution development.
Therefore, it is recommended that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council consider and remove the draft resolution from the list of resolutions submitted to the meeting so that the resolution ensures quality, practicality and effectiveness after being issued and put into implementation.

Also at the meeting, the meeting participants discussed and agreed on the plan to meet with voters before and after the session. Accordingly, the schedule for meeting with voters of the Provincial People's Council delegates before the session will start from November 16, 2020 and end on November 23, 2020; the time for meeting after the session will be from December 14 to 21, 2020.
Resolutely remove from the list of draft resolutions that do not meet requirements
Concluding this content, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council said that it is necessary to set requirements for organizing the year-end meeting to ensure quality and efficiency. To do so, the Provincial People's Committee requested that the assigned departments and branches prepare reports and draft resolutions to focus time and expertise on building; for drafts that are not really assured about time and quality, they will be listed for presentation at this meeting.

“It is necessary to unify a viewpoint, the issued resolutions are aimed at resolving and promoting the implementation of political tasks in a number of areas of departments and branches; if departments and branches do not focus on their expertise, the Provincial People's Council will not consider issuing them to ensure that the decisions of the Provincial People's Council are truly of quality" - the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized.
Regarding the responsibilities of the Provincial People's Council Committees, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Son requested to proactively coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee Office to urge departments and branches to develop reports and draft resolutions to ensure progress, and at the same time agree on the time to conduct examination, editing, and supplementation after examination to submit to the meeting.

Also at the regular October meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council listened to and commented on the report of the Provincial People's Committee on the delegation of the right to decide on investment policies for a number of public investment projects according to the 2019 Law on Public Investment. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council also spent time evaluating the performance of the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees in October, and deploying key tasks for November 2020.
