Advice on developing tourism in Quynh Luu
(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the Quynh Bien Tourism Opening Program in 2018, on the afternoon of April 26, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district organized a seminar on tourism development in Quynh Luu district. The participating delegates gave suggestions for the development of Quynh Luu tourism.
Attending the seminar were representatives of the Department of Tourism, Nghe An Tourism Promotion Information Center, travel businesses in the province; leaders of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district, coastal communes and a number of businesses in the area.
Quynh Luu is a coastal plain district of Nghe An province, blessed by nature with many potentials and strengths, including strengths in tourism development. Specifically, the district has a convenient geographical location and traffic, with National Highway 1A, National Highway 48, North-South railway, and Provincial Road 537 passing through. Traffic infrastructure is invested and built to connect National Highway 1A with coastal communes, creating favorable conditions for the development of sea tourism.

Quynh Luu has 20 km of coastline with untapped potential in the form of resources, many beautiful beaches, many mysterious caves... that can attract investment in developing tourism services. Specialized areas for growing green vegetables such as in the communes of Quynh Luong, Quynh Bang, Quynh Minh, Quynh Nghia. Traditional craft villages are also attractive tourist destinations.

The whole district has 31 historical and cultural relics, some of which can be exploited. Quynh Luu has many traditional festivals such as Cau Ngu festival in coastal communes such as Quynh Nghia, Tien Thuy, Son Hai; Ky Phuc festival in Quynh village, Festival of clans in Quynh Doi, Ho family ancestor worship ceremony at Ho Hung Dat temple.
The district is home to the Thai ethnic group, whose unique cultural identities are still preserved. Stilt house architecture, traditional Thai costumes, musical instruments such as gongs, drums, and brocade weaving are maintained.

Accommodation facilities, restaurants, and hotels in the district are gradually being formed and invested in. Quynh Luu district also has many local specialties such as dried squid, deer antlers, pineapple, fish sauce, oranges, spirulina, wood carvings, incense, and seafood dishes.

However, at present, Quynh Luu tourism still has no tours or routes to connect tourists; tourists come to Quynh Luu mainly to swim and relax, visiting scenic spots and relics is still limited; tourism is seasonal; tourism connection between Hoang Mai town, Dien Chau district and other districts with Quynh Luu district is not synchronous; many scenic spots and landscapes have not been exploited.
Quynh Luu is currently focusing on promoting the potential and advantages of sea tourism associated with cultural and historical tourism and commercial services to create a real change for tourism development, rapidly increasing the proportion of tourism in the district's economic development.

At the seminar, the participants gave advice and suggestions for the development of Quynh Luu tourism. The measures mentioned were: Strengthening propaganda to all classes of people about tourism and commercial services; protecting and enhancing resources and the environment; attracting investment for tourism, especially the coastal transport system; synchronous coordination with businesses; training human resources; promoting tourism promotion; increasing regional connectivity and coordinating with travel agencies to exploit tours and routes well; combining well between resort tourism and spiritual tourism; choosing strengths to prioritize investment, creating spillover effects...
