In recent days, there has been some information from the Vietnamese female players that they have to contribute money to buy televisions for the coaching staff of the women's team. After winning the 29th SEA Games gold medal, the Vietnamese women's football team was awarded 20 televisions by the sponsor. However, with the number of members up to 29, these televisions cannot be divided equally among all members of the team.

Regarding this reward, there is currently information that the women's team's coaching staff, specifically head coach Mai Duc Chung, suggested that the players contribute money to buy 9 more televisions for the coaching staff members. To broaden public opinion, coach Mai Duc Chung and captain Kieu Trinh have spoken out about this.

“Father” Chung said: “I have not read the articles that I suggested the team buy 9 more TVs for the coaching staff. The fact that the women's team won the gold medal and received gifts from individuals and organizations is very valuable, and our coaching staff respects the rewards for the players, because they deserve it. I hope the public understands the issue correctly to avoid unfortunate misunderstandings.”

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Kieu Trinh also feels tired of this incorrect information and believes that there is no direction from the Board of Directors about the female players buying TVs to give away: "I feel tired about this. We confirm that we have not received any TVs yet so we do not know specifically whether it is 20 or more than 20.

The Vietnamese women's team will receive a TV from a sponsor after winning the gold medal at the 29th SEA Games.

Up to this point, all bonus distribution is based on consensus within the team and according to internal team regulations. We have not received any instructions on contributing money to buy a TV.

Previously, the head of the Vietnamese women's team, Mr. Duong Vu Lam, said that there was no such thing as the Vietnamese women's team donating money to buy a TV for the coaching staff, but this was just an idea put forward by some members but did not receive the consensus of the whole team.
