Opening his press conference after the 0-4 loss to U22 Vietnam, coach Felix Dalmas of U22 Cambodia admitted: "We know we are playing against a better team, arguably the best team in the tournament. Sometimes we played well, but anyway, congratulations to the Vietnamese team and their fans."

“We are still aiming for the bronze medal match. Cambodia U22 has matured after 6 matches. I know Vietnam will play long balls, taking advantage of the space behind the defense, but I still ask my players to keep the same way of entering the game as in previous matches," the coach continued.

The young coach, born in 1988 of Cambodia, also said that the players tried their best and were not affected psychologically despite being quickly behind. "I know there are still many fans following Cambodia. We still have one more match. Please support us," coach Felix concluded the press conference.

As for coach Park Hang-seo, this was another match where the Korean coach showed his talent in coaching by deciding to put both Duc Chinh and Tien Linh on the field from the start. And the brilliance of these two players helped U22 Vietnam gain an early advantage.

Mr. Park said: “Today, we don’t have Trong Hung and Quang Hai so we have to discuss to come up with a plan. 2 assistants said we only need 1 striker, 1 assistant said 2 strikers because we still have to play the final match. But we decided to play 2 strikers because before that Duc Chinh and Tien Linh played very well.

Coach Park Hang-seo also did not forget to thank the players in a rather cautious manner: "Thank you players, I know Vietnamese fans have waited more than 60 years to win a gold medal, we still have one more match."

Speaking about the match, Coach Park affirmed that this was not a very difficult match: “This can be said to be an easy match, we followed the original game plan. At the end of the first half, Tien Linh wanted to play more, he was not happy to be replaced but I need him for the final match. The injury is not too serious and I will check his condition again.”

The final match of SEA Games 30 between U22 Vietnam and U22 Indonesia will take place at 7:00 p.m. on December 10. In the group stage match, coach Park Hang-seo and his team came from behind to defeat their opponents 2-1.
