(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense has just announced the operation and regulation of water at Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir, Xa Luong Commune, Tuong Duong District and Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir, Ta Ca Commune, Ky Son District.

At 4:29 p.m. on August 5, 2023, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 02/TB-NMNN dated August 5, 2023 from Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company on increasing the discharge flow of Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir due to increased flow to the reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the single reservoir operation process, the inter-reservoir operation process on the Ca River basin and in accordance with the hydrological situation at the project, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to discharge water from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir.

Estimated time of regulation operation: It is expected that after 19:00, August 5, 2023, Ban Ang Hydropower Plant will increase the water discharge flow through the spillway gates.

Expected discharge from 500 m3/s to 1,000 m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets).

Time to end water discharge through spillway: Until water flow to the lake drops below 189.6 m3/S.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: Tuong Duong District People's Committee and Heads of provincial Departments, branches and sectors, Road Management Area 2 to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of ​​Ban Ang Hydropower Plant to know and deploy necessary work to ensure the safety of life and property of the State and the People.

* On the same day, at 4:55 p.m. on August 5, 2023, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 03/TB- EDCNA.NM.PCTT dated August 5, 2023 from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation on increasing the discharge flow of Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved Single Reservoir Procedure and Inter-reservoir Procedure on the Ca River Basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to discharge water from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.

Estimated time of water discharge through the spillway: 22:00, August 5, 2023.

Total discharge volume is expected to be approximately 500m3/s to 800m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and sand discharge sluices).

Estimated time to end water discharge through spillway: Until water flow to the lake drops below 140 m3/S.
