The difficult situation of a young man who had a work accident
(Baonghean.vn) - While working, a young man was unfortunately crushed by a falling elevator from above, causing half of his body to be paralyzed and bedridden. His family's already difficult circumstances have now become even more difficult...
Dang Anh Tan (born in 1992) is the second child in a family of three children in Hamlet 9, Dien My Commune, Dien Chau District. His family is in a difficult situation. His father, Dang Xuan Luc (born in 1966), suffers from a mental illness and is sick all year round, unable to do heavy work. His mother, Hoang Thi Ba (born in 1964), also only stays at home with a few fields of contracted rice.
After finishing 9th grade, Tan put his studies aside and joined the army. After completing his military service, Tan worked for hire to earn money to support his youngest sibling's education and to pay for his father's medical bills. Mr. Luc and Mrs. Ba were very proud of their son. Tan was the family's support and hope because the eldest sister had gotten married and the youngest sibling was nearly electrocuted when he was young and was not as agile as a normal person.
However, life is really cruel. In March 2016, while working as a construction worker, Tan was unfortunately hit by a falling elevator from above, suffering serious injuries: broken spine, crushed bladder, crushed pelvis, crushed kidney... After 4 months of treatment in Hanoi and then returning to Nghe An hospital for another 3 months at a cost of hundreds of millions of VND, Tan woke up to the joy and sadness of his family. However, now, from the waist down, he is paralyzed, his limbs are increasingly atrophied and he can no longer move.

After the terrible accident, Tan had one kidney removed and had to create a urinary tract and anal canal right on his side. So, Mrs. Ba just stayed at home to take care of his hygiene every day, so she had no time to do anything else. Since seeing his son in the accident, Mr. Luc was mentally disturbed and his health had declined significantly.
"I feel sorry for my child having to endure the excruciating pain every day, but the money borrowed to take him to the hospital for treatment has now cost more than a hundred million dong. Now the family is truly helpless," Mr. Luc choked up when talking about his child.
Sharing about the situation of Mr. Luc's family, the leader of Dien My commune could not help but feel sad: "Mr. Luc's family situation is currently very difficult. Since Tan had an accident, the family's economy has been exhausted. The local government and neighbors have also regularly helped, encouraged, and visited, but the current difficulties for the family are too great. We hope to receive help from benefactors so that Tan has more opportunities to live."
