At the wharf, fishing boats are bustling to dock with their holds full of fish. Fresh batches of anchovies are quickly brought ashore by fishermen to be sold to traders after a quick price negotiation. In the steamers, dozens of workers are busy washing the fish, putting them in the steamers and taking them to the drying yard. The steps of cleaning, steaming, drying and packaging are carried out very carefully.

The entire output of dried and steamed fish in the area is mainly sold to the Chinese market. The main season has started, so the output of anchovies is high. On average, each boat catches 10-15 tons/trip.

Since the beginning of the year, Hoang Mai town has exploited nearly 20,000 tons of seafood, up 2.04% over the same period; processed nearly 8,600 tons, up 13.3% over the same period.
