At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Duy Nam - Principal of Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology emphasized: Every year, many high school graduates register for college and university entrance exams, leading to a surplus of teachers and a shortage of workers, leading to increased unemployment. The market demand for skilled workers is high, but the demand for students to study is very low because of the heavy emphasis on degrees in today's society. Meanwhile, the employment rate of students at vocational schools is quite high.
As one of the schools selected by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for key investment, the Vietnam - Korea Technical and Technology Vocational College currently trains 9 college occupations, with a study period of 3 years and 5 intermediate occupations, with a study period of 2 years and a primary level of 3 to 9 months for all occupations, including the profession of Confectionery Technology according to Korean technology; pilot training of 7 high-quality occupations, each occupation has a class of 17 to 20 students in the following occupations: Industrial Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology...
The school has close ties with domestic and foreign enterprises, especially in recent years, it has cooperated with foreign enterprises in Vietnam to create conditions for students to practice and find job opportunities after graduation such as Hyundai Shipbuilding Company in Quy Nhon; Samsung Company in Bac Ninh; Posco Company in Vung Tau; Hong Hai Group Taiwan, Formosa Ha Tinh Group; BSE Company, Emtech, Haivina Kim Lien... The rate of students and graduates of the school finding jobs in recent years is over 85%.

In addition, vocational training will also help students reduce the burden of tuition fees compared to university and college. Currently, the tuition fee for public universities from the 2016-2017 school year for social sciences, law, and economics is 670,000 VND/month, increasing by 11% each year, and by 2020 it will be 980,000 VND/month.
Natural sciences, engineering, technology, physical education, tourism: 790,000 VND/month, by 2020 it will be 1,170,000 VND/month. Medical and pharmaceutical sectors: 1,430,000 VND/month. Private universities, social sciences: 2,050,000 VND/month, natural sciences: 2,400,000 VND/month, medical and pharmaceutical sectors: 5,050,000 VND/month. Meanwhile, each student studying at the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College is supported by the province with 13 million VND/year from the budget and tuition fees do not increase every year.
Therefore, the orientation and orientation of students after graduation requires close cooperation and unification of policies between the principals of high schools and vocational colleges. To do that, the leaders of the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology and Engineering suggest that high schools need to send people to directly coordinate with the admissions board of the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology and Engineering to unify the enrollment orientation plan. The school will regularly provide information related to enrollment targets, characteristics of training faculties, domestic and international training cooperation activities, etc. on mass media and directly to high schools so that students can easily refer to and make the right choice.
According to statistics on enrollment in 2015 of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, from 2007 to 2013, 133 universities and colleges were established, of which 108 were upgraded from intermediate to college or college to university.
