Students fight and commit murder at school gate on closing day
On the afternoon of May 31, the authorities of Cai Be district (Tien Giang) organized a crime scene examination, autopsy, and investigation into the fight at the school gate.
Information from the People's Committee of An Thai Trung commune said: At around 9:00 a.m. on May 31, while An Thai Trung Secondary School, Cai Be district was holding the closing ceremony of the school year, Phan Vinh Khang, born in 2004, in Hamlet 4, An Thai Trung commune, a student of the school who had dropped out of school, came to the school gate with a 3-section stick to find Phan Nguyen Thien Loc and Ha Chi Tam (9th grade students) to beat.

Two students, Phan Nguyen Thien Loc and Ha Chi Tam, ran into the school, Khang chased after them. Phan Nguyen Thien Loc then snatched the stick from Khang's hand and fought back. Phan Vinh Khang was hit in the head by the stick and was seriously injured. He was taken to An Thai Trung Regional General Clinic for emergency treatment but died.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Trung, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Thai Trung Commune, said that all three students: Khang, Loc and Tam were previously classmates. Last year, when he was in 8th grade, Phan Vinh Khang dropped out of school./.
