Nghe An students won Silver Medal at Asian Informatics Olympiad
(Baonghean.vn) - The 2019 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad was held online and hosted by the Russian Federation. The competition had more than 600 contestants from 31 countries and territories participating.
This year, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted has 2 outstanding students selected for the national team to participate in the Asian Informatics Olympiad.
After the online round, 7/15 Vietnamese students with the highest scores were selected to participate in the award. As a result, Hoang Phan Huu Duc - an 11th grade student at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted won the Silver Medal. The remaining 6 students of the delegation also won the Silver Medal.
With this result, the Vietnamese student team ranked 8th in Asia.

With his achievements at the Asian Informatics Olympiad, Hoang Phan Huu Duc is also the student who brought home the first medal for Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted at the regional and international Olympiads in 2019.
Currently, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted has 3 other students preparing to participate in the International Biology and Mathematics Olympiads and 1 student participating in the European Physics Olympiad.
In early 2019, Hoang Phan Huu Duc also excellently won second prize at the National Excellent Student Competition.
