Conference summarizing emulation cluster No. 5 of industry unions

Emulation cluster No. V includes trade unions of the following units:Civil servant union, Education, Health, Agriculture, Rural Development, Construction, Industry and Trade, Transport, Southeast Economic Zone with a total of 387 grassroots trade union units and over 60,000 workers, civil servants and employees. Compared to 2021, the number of grassroots trade unions increased by 7 units, the number of workers, civil servants and employees increased by 1,205 people, the number of union members increased by 1,519 people.

Over the past year, implementing emulation movements, industry unions have mobilized workers, civil servants, and laborers to actively participate in the emulation movement "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

In addition, the emulation movements "Good worker, creative worker" among workers, civil servants, and laborers, "Good at public work, good at housework" among female workers, civil servants, and laborers have been deployed by industry unions in conjunction with the campaigns and emulation contents of the industry.

In addition, trade unions in various sectors have also done a good job of taking care of jobs and lives of workers with many outstanding activities such as participating in building policies and laws related to workers; organizing programsUnion benefits; Program to support the construction and renovation of Trade Union Shelters for union members; Organizing cultural, artistic and sports activities attracting tens of thousands of union members, civil servants and workers to participate.

With their role, the units have also done a good job of propagating and providing legal advice to workers and laborers in enterprises in many forms, especially applying information technology to convey messages, advise, and propagate content to union members; participating in monitoring, social criticism, and implementing grassroots democracy regulations.

Industry unions have also actively responded to and participated in social and charitable activities, contributing to the funds "Repaying gratitude", "Tet for the poor", "Union Shelter" Fund and other social activities effectively.

In addition to the achieved results, at the conference, delegates also frankly pointed out the limitations and shortcomings such as the launching and organization of emulation movements at grassroots trade unions are not widespread and clear; the quality of emulation movements is still formal. The creative labor movement in the state administrative sector has not received attention and implementation. Some units have launched movements but have not summarized and concluded, the emulation work is not complete, not linked with rewards and encouragement of the movement.

In some places, the quality of conferences for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers is not high, professional evaluation reports are not in-depth; opinions and suggestions for conferences are few, mainly proposals and recommendations without in-depth discussion of measures to perform professional tasks well; participation in amending internal regulations, rules, and collective labor agreements has not received much attention from cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers. The role of trade unions in leading and directing the activities of the People's Inspectorate is still limited, so the quality and content of effective supervision are not high.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation highly appreciated the efforts of the industry unions in emulation cluster No. 5. In particular, the most prominent were the units that innovated in their leadership, following the orientations and criteria to effectively implement the assigned tasks.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi suggested that units need to focus on taking care of Tet reunion for workers and laborers. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to the trade union congresses at all levels and well implement emulation movements to welcome the trade union congresses.

Some suggestions from units such as the need to increase allowances for union officials, emulation rewards and implementation of criteria on creative labor, gathering union members, some units lacking funds in operations... have also been accepted by the Provincial Federation of Labor to find solutions in the coming time.

Entering 2023, industry unions will continue to closely follow the emulation movements launched by the Provincial Federation of Labor and the political tasks of enterprises to implement the launched emulation movements, especially focusing on implementing the emulation movements "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic" and "Good workers, creative workers".

At the same time, continue to promote the emulation movement in production and business in enterprises, accompanying enterprises in striving to fulfill their obligations to the State and the 2023 plan.
