Central Conference 6: Discussing the issue of reorganizing the system of public service units

The 6th Central Conference opened this morning, October 4, and is expected to last until October 10, to discuss innovation in management and financial mechanisms and reorganization of the system of public service units.

In addition to the highly anticipated project "Continuing to innovate the Party's leadership method, building a streamlined political system apparatus that operates effectively and efficiently", the Conference will discuss innovating management and financial mechanisms, and reorganizing the system of public service units.

The work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health; population work and the socio-economic situation are also important topics.

As reported, on September 29, the Central Inspection Committee proposed that the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee consider and impose disciplinary action on Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh (Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee). Thus, at this meeting, the Central Committee will vote to decide on the disciplinary action against Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh.

Mr. Dinh La Thang was disciplined with a warning and dismissed from the position of Politburo member at the 5th Central Conference in May 2017, causing the number of Politburo members to decrease from 19 to 18.

In early August 2017, Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong (Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee) was assigned by the Politburo to participate in the Standing Committee of the Secretariat while Mr. Dinh The Huynh (Member of the Politburo, Standing Committee of the Secretariat) was undergoing medical treatment.
