Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association accompanies fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea
(Baonghean.vn) - The program aims to help fishermen better understand the position and role of the marine economy, the policies of the Party and State on marine economic development, and the accompaniment of fishermen to go offshore by the Nghe An Farmers' Association.
On October 24, in Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town, the Provincial Farmers' Association organized the program "Accompanying fishermen to stay at sea".
Attending the conference were members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Nguyen Quang Tung - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association; Le Truong Giang - Secretary of Hoang Mai Town Party Committee; representatives of the Provincial Border Guard Command.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association emphasized: Marine and coastal economy is gradually becoming an important growth driver of the country and the province.
At the same time, developing the marine economy plays an important role in strengthening the nation's overall strength, position and power as well as enhancing the "popular sentiment" in sea and island areas, ensuring national defense and security.

In recent times, the Provincial Farmers’ Association has carried out many practical activities through the program “Accompanying farmers to stay at sea” to promptly encourage, support, support and equip fishermen during their fishing at sea. From there, it has spread the spirit of patriotism, aroused national pride and especially helped fishermen to confidently go out to sea and stay at sea.

Through this training program, fishermen are expected to be equipped with necessary skills in first aid, emergency response, and accident handling at sea; at the same time, fishermen will be better informed about the role of the marine economy, the policies of the Party and the State on marine economic development, so that fishermen can comply with the policies and laws of the Party and the State; and actively participate in the task of protecting national sovereignty at sea.
Thereby, the Provincial Farmers' Association grasps the aspirations of fishermen to advise the Party Committee and government to continue to care for and share difficulties with coastal farmers in material and spiritual terms through specific policy mechanisms.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Farmers' Association presented 300 life jackets and 100 National Flags to members of the Fisheries Union of 3 wards and communes: Quynh Lap, Quynh Phuong, Quynh Di (Hoang Mai town).

Within the framework of the program, the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province provided training on first aid and emergency skills and how to handle accidents at sea; representatives of the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province disseminated some legal regulations on sea and islands to fishermen of Hoang Mai town.
