Nghe An Irrigation Association congress for the 2016-2021 term and 10th anniversary of its establishment

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 8, Nghe An Irrigation Association held the Congress for the third term (2016 - 2021) and celebrated its 10th anniversary. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong attended and directed the congress. Also attending the congress were representatives of Irrigation LLCs in the province and retired officials in the irrigation sector.

After 10 years of operation, Nghe An Irrigation Association has affirmed its position as a professional social organization, sensitive and creative in its activities. The association's activities have closely followed the requirements and tasks of the industry and locality, providing many practical activities, making an impression in many fields, in which, the most prominent is the criticism work.

On the principle of compliance with the law of consultancy and scientific arguments, the success has the initial significance of policy criticism, including the policy of exempting irrigation fees for farmers. Regarding criticism of project programs, the most impressive is the Ban Mong Reservoir Project.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented a banner from the Provincial People's Committee with the words: "Nghe An Irrigation Association 10 years of construction and development".

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong requested the Irrigation Association to continuously innovate its activities in the coming time to suit the current situation, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the province. Develop irrigation in a multi-purpose direction to supply water for agriculture, industry, solve drainage problems, prevent flooding in urban areas, rural areas and agriculture. Focus on managing, exploiting and operating the existing irrigation systems most effectively... Strengthen research and application of new science and technology in the field of irrigation...

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its establishment, the Provincial People's Committee presented a banner with the words: "Nghe An Irrigation Association 10 years of construction and development"; 1 collective and 6 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the association's activities, period 2006 - 2016.

Nghe An Irrigation Association elected the Executive Committee for term III (2016-2021) consisting of 29 comrades.
