More than 1,000 Nghe An students participate in the 2024 Happy and Healthy Children's Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - More than 1,000 Nghe An children participated in an interesting performance and a series of meaningful activities at the "Healthy Children" Festival 2024 held in Anh Son district on March 18.
The “Healthy Children’s Day” is a traditional activity of Vietnamese children in general and Nghe An children in particular, aiming to express the pride of the team members and children in the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers. At the same time, it creates a joyful and exciting atmosphere to help children compete, strive, and excel in their studies, actively participating in activities organized by the Youth Union and the Young Pioneers.
This year, the festival is even more meaningful as the youth of the whole province are striving to compete to achieve achievements to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024) and towards the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
At the program, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Pioneer Council of Nghe An awarded 21 scholarships with a total value of nearly 17 million VND to disadvantaged children who have strived to study well at the Youth Unions in Anh Son district.
At the same time, responding to the Campaign "Proud of a strip of land and rivers" launched by the Central Youth Union, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union Council presented 30 maps of the Fatherland and 1,100 red scarves to Thach Thi Primary School.
Attending the festival, children will participate in 4 main activities. Among them, the highlight is the "Smart Little Soldier" activity with the Golden Bell Contest with the theme "Nghe An Children with 70 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory".
The second activity is "Talented Little Soldier" which is carried out in the form of a painting contest "I am a little soldier of Dien Bien". Through the activity, it aims to arouse the love for the homeland and country, and the deep gratitude of the young generation towards the generations of fathers and brothers who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country.
The third activity is "Little Soldier 4.0" including programs: Digital Team activities and reading space experience, implementing the movement "Read and follow the Team newspaper".
Finally, there is an activity with the theme "Agile Little Soldiers" with interesting and useful games for children.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Tran Linh said that the province currently has 887 teams. In order to create a training and entertainment environment for children, in the coming time, it is necessary to have more activities and playgrounds for children suitable to the practical situation of the locality and unit.
Through that, create a vibrant atmosphere, orient the aesthetics, national cultural values, form reading habits, educate social practice skills, creative experiences and equip digital skills for children.
The team of cadres in charge of the Team and the Team base need to accompany the Team members, teenagers and children to raise awareness of the meaning and importance of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Promote the responsibility of the Union in the work of protecting, caring for, educating teenagers and children and building an increasingly strong Team organization.
Importantly, it is necessary to continue to maintain, replicate, and deploy activities and models to promote children's right to participate in children's issues in the new situation.
