More than 14,000 people quarantined to prevent epidemic
The 6:00 a.m. news bulletin on May 9 from the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said that Vietnam has gone 23 days without any cases of COVID-19 infection in the community. Currently, there are only more than 14,000 people in quarantine to prevent the epidemic.
Total cases:
- From 6:00 a.m. April 16 to 6:00 a.m. May 9: Vietnam has had 23 days without community transmission
- As of 6:00 a.m. on May 9: Vietnam has a total of 148 imported cases that were immediately quarantined.
- From 6:00 p.m. May 8 to 6:00 a.m. May 9: 0 new cases

Treatment status:According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee - National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, up to now, 241 COVID-19 patients in our country have been announced to be cured/discharged from hospital. Currently, 47 patients are being treated at 6 medical facilities. Most of the patients are in stable health.
As of the morning of May 9, among the COVID-19 patients being treated and monitored, there are currently 10 patients who have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once and 4 patients who have tested negative twice or more for SARS-CoV-2. There are currently only 33 COVID-19 patients who have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.
