China is a huge source market for global tourism. According to statistics from the China National Tourism Administration, in 2018, more than 150 million Chinese tourists traveled abroad, with total spending estimated at US$150.8 billion.
For Nghe An province, China is a fairly promising market. Therefore, attracting Chinese tourists will be a key focus in the tourism promotion efforts of Nghe An province in general in the coming time.
This is also a significant opportunity to promote and introduce the tourism potential and strengths of Nghe An to the Chinese market, especially to provinces and cities with high incomes and a large demand for tourism such as Chongqing, Hohhot, and Harbin, creating conditions for expanding cooperation and seeking partners to exploit the Chinese tourist market.
