More than 300 Veterans Association officials attend national economic training in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The training program aims to improve knowledge of economic activities for officials and members, as a basis for application in the association's work, contributing to sustainable economic development associated with environmental protection.
On the morning of June 23, in Cua Lo town, Nghe An province, the Vietnam Veterans Association held the opening ceremony of the 2020 National Economic Training Conference for Association officials.

Attending the conference, on the Central side were Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Dao - Vice President of the Vietnam Veterans Association and representatives of the association's affiliated departments; representatives of the New Rural Development Coordination Office under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies and a number of associations, state-owned enterprises and more than 300 delegates of Veterans Association officials from 63 provinces and cities across the country.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Provincial Veterans Association and representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Standing Committee of the Veterans Association of districts, cities and towns.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Dao - Vice President of the Vietnam Veterans Association affirmed that the training program aims to improve knowledge of economic activities for cadres and members, which is the basis for application in the association's work, contributing to sustainable economic development, associated with environmental protection.

At the same time, contributing to building a new, sustainable, comprehensive and in-depth rural area, improving life, changing the thinking and lifestyle of rural people, sustainably reducing poverty, and improving social security.

During the training session, delegates of the Veterans Associations of provinces and cities across the country will receive the following topics: Some issues of sustainable economic and environmental development; the current situation of waste in Vietnam and solutions; the role of veterans in environmental protection in the coming period; Evaluation of the results of the implementation of the National Target Program on new rural construction for the period 2021 - 2025; Some new contents and policies on loans from the Bank for Social Policies, solutions to improve the quality of entrusted activities for associations and unions; Some issues of implementing the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction, economic work issues of the Vietnam Veterans Association.
Also in the training program, delegates will visit the pilot model of new rural construction in Nam Dan district (Nghe An) to have an objective and vivid view, contributing to clarifying the theory.
On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council informed the delegates about the socio-economic development situation and results of the province. She affirmed that the training session was a good opportunity for delegates of Nghe An province to learn, exchange and share experiences with delegates of other provinces to promote family economic development, contributing to enriching the homeland.
