More than 3,000 candidates attended the 2019 Provincial Excellent Student Selection Exam
(Baonghean.vn) - This is an important exam to select excellent students to be the core of national teams and is one of the criteria for admission to grade 10.
This morning, the Provincial Excellent Student Competition for the 2019 school year officially opened with the participation of more than 3,000 students from grades 9 and 11.
This year's exam was held in Vinh city with 4 exam locations at Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Phan Boi Chau High School, Le Viet Thuat High School (11th grade students) and Ha Huy Tap High School (9th grade students).

More than 3,000 students participated in the exam, including 1,191 grade 9 students and 2,208 grade 11 students. This year, Nghe An province continued to divide the candidate areas into two groups A and B.
Specifically, for 11th graders, Group B includes high schools in 5 mountainous districts: Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Que Phong, Quy Chau and non-public schools. Group A includes the remaining schools. For 11th graders at GDTX level, there is only one group.
In grade 9, group B includes candidates from mountainous districts such as Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Que Phong, Quy Chau and group A includes the remaining districts, cities and towns.
According to the regulations on the Excellent Student Exam, this year the candidates will take part in the exam for 2 days, March 15 and 16. This morning, the examination council will meet to open the exam.

Time to do each subject is150 minutes.
