(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 7, more than 31,000 candidates in Nghe An province entered the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2016-2017 school year.
The opening ceremony of the 10th grade entrance exam was held simultaneously at 56 examination councils. Before taking the exam, candidates heard the announcement of the decision to establish the Examination Council, listened to the examination regulations, listened to the introduction of the examination room, the examination inspection work as well as the requirements and regulations during the exam.

This year's 10th grade entrance exam is conducted in the form of entrance exam and selection. Of which, 56 schools have entrance exams because the number of students registering for the first choice (NV1) to the school exceeds the school's enrollment quota. In addition, admission is considered for schools in 5 mountainous districts (Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Que Phong, Quy Chau) and schools with the number of students registering for NV1 to the school does not exceed the school's enrollment quota.

There were 31,202 candidates participating in the exam in 56 examination councils with 1,308 examination rooms. To prepare for the exam seriously, the education sector mobilized 3,010 examiners to supervise the exam. In addition, more than 1,000 people participated in service and security work. The Department of Education and Training also established 4 mobile inspection teams to check the preparation and safety work at the examination sites.

According to the Department of Education and Training's enrollment plan, there will be about 29,000 quotas for public schools and the remaining 3,000 quotas will be allocated to non-public schools. Currently, the school with the highest competition rate and the most registered candidates is Huynh Thuc Khang High School. In addition, the results of the 10th grade enrollment will also be part of the basis for candidates to register for the Ethnic Boarding High School and Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.

| Entrance exam schedule for grade 10 |
The entrance exam for grade 10 will be held on June 7 and 8 with three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and Foreign Language. In the morning of June 7, candidates will take the Literature exam with a duration of 120 minutes. In the afternoon, candidates will take the Foreign Language exam with a duration of 60 minutes.
