More than 500,000 British workers are trained to detect terrorism.
(Baonghean.vn) - The British government office said on July 24 that 550,000 workers at British public agencies have undergone an anti-terrorism training course called "Prevent" to detect individuals who may be terrorists in the workplace.

The training, proposed by the UK Department for Labour, includes online learning and classroom exercises aimed at tackling white supremacists and Islamists.
When workers discover people who may be involved in terrorism at their workplace, they report it to a previously designated person (called the Interdiction Captain) who will then notify the police.
However, a spokesman for the Muslim Council of Britain said the training would be counterproductive as the signs learnt in the programme had not been conclusively tested and it could lead to discrimination against suspected individuals.
Previously, on July 21, two suspects were arrested while attempting to kidnap a Royal Air Force (RAF) employee at a base near Norfolk, England. The motive for the kidnapping is believed to be related to terrorism.
