Success, talent and radiant looks are the hallmarks of Britain's youngest pilot, Luke Elsworth.

At 19, Luke Elsworth became Britain's youngest pilot, working for Easyjet after completing his qualification tests in the quickest time.

He enrolled in the airline's pilot training programme at CTC Aviation in Southampton and was hired nine days after his 18th birthday.

Luke completed the 18-month course, which included six months of light aircraft training in Arizona, USA, and was appointed as the first pilot from the course in April 2016. According to Civil Aviation Authority records, Luke Elsworth is the youngest pilot in the UK.

When asked if he felt he was at the right age to become a pilot, a job that is often hectic and stressful, Luke replied: “Age has never been an issue or really an impact. I always encourage people younger than me to strive to complete their training.” Luke also said he did not notice any anxiety from passengers when he entered the cockpit.

However, some people think that his age makes him unable to handle unexpected situations during the flight. However, Luke still receives encouragement from his colleagues. Former British Airways pilot Eric Moody said: “Good luck, young man. I wish you a long and successful career. As long as you have the ability, the problems will be solved.”

Luke, who grew up in Warrington, Cheshire, and now lives in London, firmly denies this: “Although my father was a captain for Easyjet, that didn’t put me under any extra pressure when I started my career.” Luke, who grew up in Warrington, Cheshire, and now lives in London, has no regrets about starting a demanding and responsible career at such a young age.
