Mobilizing social resources to overcome shortcomings in medical facilities

Deteriorating facilities

Pointing out the difficulties and shortcomings in the implementation of Resolution No. 18 in implementing legal policies on socialization to improve the quality of health care for the people, a representative of Dien Chau District General Hospital said: The price of medical services has been adjusted but has not been fully calculated, only 4/7 price constituents have been calculated, there are still 3 factors that have not been included: Depreciation of assets - equipment, electricity and water, training - scientific research.

Therefore, medical facilities cannot ensure balance of income and expenditure, lack funds to maintain assets, and purchase replacement equipment.

In addition, according to Dr. Nguyen Tien - Director of Dien Chau District General Hospital, to serve the needs of medical examination and treatment, the Hospital has renovated the medical examination and treatment area, expanded and enlarged the waiting area in the clinic, the blood testing area...

Faced with that situation, the Director of Dien Chau District General Hospital requested that superiors consider supporting funding for the construction of facilities and equipment for the hospital or have favorable policies to take advantage of social resources to invest in the construction of facilities and purchase of equipment.

Step by step to overcome difficulties

At the meeting, members of the monitoring delegation requested Dien Chau District General Hospital to discuss and clarify problems related to mechanisms and policies; assess patient satisfaction; handle environmental sanitation at the hospital; receive and use socialized resources from domestic and foreign organizations; list of socialized resources needed in the coming time; structure of the team of doctors and nurses that has met the hospital's standard requirements; direction and tasks for training and fostering of staff, doctors and nurses; investment strategy for facilities and human resources of the hospital to improve the hospital's level...

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thanh Hien highly appreciated the results of people's health care at Dien Chau District General Hospital.

The Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies hopes that in the coming time, the hospital will make every effort to find the best and most optimal solutions for the development of the hospital; continue to pay attention to building a team of qualified cadres, doctors, and medical staff; pay attention to minimizing medical incidents; build good Party and mass organizations; maintain and develop the hospital's brand; pay attention to environmental sanitation and hospital waste treatment...

Regarding recommendations and problems proposed by the units, the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies will receive and synthesize recommendations to relevant ministries and branches; at the same time, report to the National Assembly to supplement and amend the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, the Law on Health Insurance, the Labor Law and sub-law documents to be more suitable to reality.
