Mobilizing maximum forces to ensure traffic safety and order on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 holidays

(Baonghean.vn) - From April 24 to May 8, 2019, Nghe An Provincial Police began implementing a plan to strengthen the work of ensuring order, traffic safety, and public order before, during and after the April 30 and May 1 holidays in Nghe An province.

To effectively implement the plan, Nghe An Provincial Police will mobilize maximum forces, means, technical equipment, synchronously and drastically deploy working measures to ensure security and order, control and reduce traffic accidents, especially to prevent serious traffic accidents involving passenger cars and buses; and to prevent especially serious traffic accidents during the 5-day holiday.

Accordingly, the Traffic Police Department will direct traffic police teams and stations to strengthen inspections and strictly handle passenger cars and buses on routes and management areas, including directing the establishment of 24/7 mobile patrol teams on National Highways (1A, 46, 48...) to focus on checking violations of speed and alcohol concentration on passenger cars and buses.

Focus on coordinating with police units to guide and regulate traffic during the days of the Cua Lo river festival on routes leading to Cua Lo town such as: National Highway 46, Nam Cam - Cua Lo, Vinh - Cua Hoi roads...

The police of districts and cities will also mobilize maximum officers and soldiers to strengthen the force to organize patrols, control traffic, and conduct armed patrols to prevent, detect, stop, and strictly handle crimes and violations of the law in the area; and be on duty regularly at key and complicated routes and intersections to command, regulate, direct traffic, and guide to ensure smooth, safe, and convenient traffic for people.

Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department said: During the peak implementation period, any area where serious traffic accidents involving passenger cars, buses, especially serious traffic accidents or traffic jams lasting for 5 days of the holiday will be responsible to the leaders of the Provincial Police Department.
