Successfully detonated a 115 kg bomb
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 7, at the Bomb Disposal Training Ground of Brigade 414, Military Region 4, the Engineering Force, the Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Vinh City Military Command and the Thanh Chuong District Military Command to successfully detonate a 115 kg bomb left over from the war.
Previously, at 6:00 p.m. on April 4, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha's family in group 3, block 14, Ben Thuy ward (Vinh city) discovered a bomb nearly 2 meters below ground while digging the foundation to build a house.
Immediately after discovering the bomb, the family promptly reported it to the local Party Committee, authorities and the Vinh City Military Command.

After receiving the information, the Vinh City Military Command promptly sent a working group to the scene to cordon off the area, put up warning signs of the bomb area, inform the people in the area about the situation, and mobilizemilitiaguard and protect the bomb area. At the same time, in coordination with the Engineering Department, the Provincial Military Command determined that the bomb was a demolition bomb with a diameter of 30cm, a length of 1.2m, and a weight of 115kg.
