(Baonghean.vn) - The border district of Ky Son has established a Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control and set up a checkpoint at the gateway to the district. People entering and leaving Ky Son must comply with the regulations.

Previously, with the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in provinces and cities in the country, and in order to strictly implement the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 05 dated January 28, 2021 on a number of urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, Official Dispatch No. 523/UBND dated January 28, 2021 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to deploy measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, the districtKy Sonconvened an urgent meeting to deploy measures to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic in the district.

The immediate task is to establishstopcontrol the Covid-19 epidemic at the starting point of the district in Chieu Luu commune, to check vehicles and people coming from other provinces. Especially strictly control, check body temperature, medical declaration to ensure absolute safety for people in the work of preventing the Covid-19 epidemic.

Leaders of Ky Son district and the working delegation inspected the establishment of a Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control checkpoint in Hung Tien village, Chieu Luu commune, assigned tasks to the interdisciplinary team in implementing the checkpoint, inspection and performing tasks according to the Conclusion Notice at the meeting of the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control steering committee of the district.

Mr. Phan Van Nam, a member of the volunteer group from Hoang Mai town who went to Ky Son to give gifts to the poor, expressed his peace of mind when the district took drastic measures to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. "Through Chieu Luu commune, members of the group were required to have their temperature measured, declare their health status, travel history and the places they would visit in Ky Son. I think this is a necessary work, providing good support for the epidemic response work" - Mr. Nam said.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh also affirmed that in order for people to have a safe and healthy Tet holiday, in addition to requiring departments, branches, functional forces and localities to strictly implement epidemic prevention measures, it is also necessary to actively propagate to all people to raise awareness for the community.

Ky Son district currently has 20 communes and 1 town with a population of more than 80,000. In addition to the district's Covid-19 prevention and control checkpoints, Ky Son has 21 anti-epidemic checkpoints established by the Border Guard force at trails, openings, and key areas in communes bordering Laos.
