Que Phong district learns from experience in building new rural areas in Tuong Duong
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Que Phong district organized a delegation of officials to visit, study and learn experiences in building new rural areas in Thach Giam commune, Tuong Duong district, the first 30a locality of the whole province to implement the new rural area program in the period 2011-2015.

The delegation included leaders of Que Phong district, representatives of departments and offices and leaders of 5 communes: Dong Van, Tien Phong, Que Son, Muong Noc and Chau Kim.
With a low starting point (only achieving 4/19 criteria), but with creative and effective ways of doing things, along with the solidarity, unity and determination of the entire political system from the district to the grassroots level and receiving the support and active participation of all classes of people, in 2015, Thach Giam commune reached the New Rural Area (NTM) finish line, honored to be the first 30a commune in the whole province to be recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting NTM standards in the period 2011-2015.
The working delegation surveyed safe vegetable production models in Ban Phong and Ban Chan, visited the district's primary school and secondary school for ethnic minorities located in the commune, and cultural facilities in the commune... During the working program with the district and commune, the Que Phong delegation exchanged and learned experiences in building new rural areas in Thach Giam and Tuong Duong.
Currently, Que Phong district has 1 commune (Que Son commune) meeting 11/19 criteria, 3 communes (Dong Van, Tien Phong and Muong Noc) meeting 10/19 criteria, and Chau Kim commune meeting 8/19 criteria. Que Phong strives to have at least 3 communes meeting new rural standards by 2020.
