Tan Ky district quarantines the entire Nghia Dong commune

Mr. Phan Van Giap - Chairman of the People's CommitteeTan Ky districtsaid: After 3 Covid-19 outbreaks appeared in the district, including Nghia Hoan, Nghia Thai and Nghia Dong, on the morning of November 24, the district's Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention held meetings with the facilities to deploy epidemic prevention measures, with the view that ensuring people's health is the top priority "fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy". The district's measures are faster and higher by one level. Accordingly, the entire Nghia Dong commune and Thuan Yen hamlet of Nghia Hoan commune are quarantined. The whole district applies level 2 according to Resolution 128 of the Government; Nghia Dong commune applies level 4; Nghia Hoan and Nghia Thai communes level 3; Tan Phu town and Giai Xuan commune are advanced level 2.

Localities cordoned off, urgently traced, and organized large-scale testing, in which Nghia Dong commune and Thuan Yen hamlet (Nghia Hoan) tested the entire population, urgently isolated F0, and quarantined F1 according to regulations.

Mr. Vo Duy Hien - Chairman of Nghia Dong Commune People's Committee added: Currently, the commune has set up 5 epidemic control checkpoints on the roads leading in and out of the commune, all checkpoints have strict staff on duty to control people coming in and out. Implementing the medical isolation regulations of the whole commune, therefore, all people in the commune are prohibited from going out, markets and all shops are required to close. Currently, the health sector has taken the first test samples for all people in the commune, and will take the second test samples soon.

"In the immediate future, the locality will encourage people to be self-sufficient in food. If people encounter difficulties with food, the commune will ask the district for support," Mr. Hien shared.

Previously, a working delegation from the Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province had a working session with the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Tan Ky district to discuss the establishment of a mobile medical station to receive and treat F0 in Nghia Dong commune.

After the survey, leaders of the Department of Health and CDC Nghe An agreed on the plan to use Nghia Dong Commune Kindergarten to establish a mobile medical station to treat Covid-19 patients.

It is estimated that this mobile medical station has more than 200 beds, including an F0 monitoring area, an area for patients who test negative after treatment, and an office for medical staff and security forces. The medical station is now in operation.

On November 23 and until the morning of November 24, Tan Ky district had 71 positive cases of Covid-19 in the community, of which Nghia Dong commune had 51 cases. Currently, the locality has traced hundreds of F1s related to these infected cases.
