Tan Ky District congratulates Quy Hau Diocese on the occasion of Christmas 2018

Currently, in Tan Ky district, there is 1 deanery, 3 parishes and 13 chapels with more than 5,700 parishioners, accounting for 4.3% of the district's population.

Over the past year, the lives of parishioners in Tan Ky district have been increasingly improved. Parishioners have actively responded to the National Target Program on New Rural Construction and local humanitarian and charitable movements.

Specifically, parishioners contributed more than 1 billion VND, 1,144 working days, and donated 732 m²land, built 2.5 km of concrete road, 15 km of graded road; supported the fund for the poor of the district with 28 million VND. In particular, a typical example is Father Ngo Van Hau who called for and supported the construction of 3 charity houses worth 600 million VND for 3 households, of which 2 households are Catholics, 1 household is non-Catholic.

Congratulating the diocese, comrade Nguyen Van Hoa hopes that in the coming time, the diocese in general and parishioners in particular will continue to promote the spirit of great national unity, solidarity between religions, living a good life and a good religion, together building the homeland of Tan Ky to become increasingly prosperous./.
