Tuong Duong district welcomes and buries the remains of martyrs who died at the southwestern border

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 18, the District Party Committee, People's Council - People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuong Duong district held a ceremony to receive and bury the remains of martyr Lo Van Nam at the district cemetery.

Attending the burial ceremony of the martyr's remains were leaders of the district, district-level organizations, Xa Luong commune, Thach Giam town, and relatives of the martyr.

Martyr Lo Van Nam (born 1958), hometown Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district. He was born and raised in a farming family with a rich revolutionary tradition. On November 25, 1977, following the sacred call of the Fatherland, he volunteered to join the army and join the General Staff, Regiment 6, Division 302.

Participating in the battle to protect the southwestern border, he fought bravely and sacrificed himself on July 29, 1978, at the border front of Tay Ninh province. He was buried by his comrades at Thanh Binh commune cemetery, Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province.

After 43 years of resting at Thanh Binh Commune Cemetery, Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province. In accordance with the wishes of the family, the Party Committee, the government, departments, branches and organizations brought the remains of martyr Lo Van Nam to the district martyr cemetery for burial. The welcoming and burial ceremony was held at the district martyr cemetery in a solemn and respectful atmosphere.
