According to KCNA, the plan will be submitted to leader Kim Jong Un for final decision.
According to KCNA, the country's strategic forces are "seriously examining" plans for an "enveloping strike" on Guam, where many US strategic bombers are stationed.
Accordingly, four Hwasong-12 missiles will be fired "to suppress enemy forces at military bases in Guam and send a serious warning to the US."
In an English-language announcement, KCNA said the missiles would fly over Japan's Shimane, Hiroshima and Koichi prefectures, travel 3,356.7km and land about 30 to 40km from Guam.
The detailed plan was released by North Korea just one day after it announced a missile attack plan targeting Guam, in response to US President Donald Trump's warning that Pyongyang would be met with "fire and fury" if it continued to maintain its ambition to attack the US with ballistic missiles./.
