Wanted fugitive arrested on the afternoon of the 2nd day of Tet
(Baonghean.vn) - After 6 years of getting married and having children in the West, a man who was wanted returned to Nghe An to visit his hometown and was arrested.
On the evening of February 17, Major Bien Viet Chien - Captain of Team 3 (Crime Investigation Police Department, PC52, Nghe An Police) said that in the afternoon of the same day, he arrested Dang Duc Dung (born in 1987), residing in Hamlet 5, Linh Son Commune, Anh Son District, wanted for the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.
According to the investigation agency, in 2012, Dang Duc Dung forged a parking ticket at a parking lot in Ho Chi Minh City with the intention of stealing a motorbike, but was discovered while committing the act. However, Dung later fled his residence.

In June 2012, Tan Phu District Police (Ho Chi Minh City) issued a wanted notice for Dang Duc Dung to bring him to justice.
Tan Phu District Police then coordinated with Nghe An Wanted Police to search for the criminal's whereabouts.
On February 17, a source informed the Nghe An wanted agency that Dung appeared at his parents' house in Hamlet 5, Linh Son Commune (Anh Son District). A 4-member working group of PC52 led by Major Bien Viet Chien (Captain of Team 3) set out to arrest him.
Collecting documents, coordinating with Anh Son District Police and local authorities, at 5:00 p.m. on February 17 (the second day of Tet), the police raided Dang Duc Dung's house and arrested him, leaving him unable to react.
According to the investigation documents, at the end of 2012, Dung went to the West to marry a girl and gave birth to a son who is now 4 years old. Making a living as a factory worker, after 6 years of losing contact with his relatives, two days ago (afternoon of the 30th of Tet), Dung took a bus to bring his wife and children back to reunite with relatives in his hometown.
